Rv Awning Release Lever Stuck

Release a sticky awning ratchet lever by releasing the awning lever with one hand while pulling down gently on the awning support arm with your other hand.

Lastly it could be the gears in the motor housing. Insert a cotter pin through the inner shaft at the end tube to lock the spring. It is tight but i get it to the roll down position by doing that and can pull my awning down. While the awning was rolled up we unhooked the legs from the trailer and swung them out to wash behind them.

Step 2 lock spring tension. Release the travel locks on the awning arms and release the cam lock if it still holds at all. Pull the support arm to release the ratchet attached to the other end of the lever. Usually the clicking are the gears skipping.
