1 lower the awning so the roller tube is as close to the ground as possible.

Push the aluminum pole in its extended length up to the rv wall and down to the lip of the awning under the awning itself.

Once the arms are free rest the center of the roller tube on something like a six foot.
Remove the 2 phillips head screws from the bottom end of the outer section.
Place the step stool near the lip of the awning.
Let s raise that upper section up a bit.
Lower the leading edge or roller tube as close to the ground as possible.
Free the support arms.
2 the support arm consists of an outer and inner section.
Lower the awning completely.
